Silver Spring Metro Center is home to one of the Washington region’s largest single tenants, the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The development includes a mix of office, retail, and residential development, completed in five phases. The property is located along East-West Highway and next to the Silver Spring Metro station. The first four phases of development, Metro Center I-IV, included a mix of offices, a public parking garage, and street-level retail. The final phase, Metro Center V, is a 223-unit apartment complex known as The Bennington. Metro Center I-IV, which includes the NOAA headquarters, encompasses nearly 1.8 million square feet. Foulger-Pratt developed the phased project and served as general contractor.
